Veteran Representative Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick Clenched a Close Victory in Her Primary

Alright, it’s pretty much official.  Michigan’s 13th Congressional District Representative Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick will win her party’s nomination (Democratic Party).  Here are the results as of 1:50 A.M. EDT with 329/343 (95%) precincts reporting:

  1. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick 19,981 39%
  2. Mary Waters  18,643 36%
  3. Martha Scott 12,835 25%

Too bad Scott didn’t drop out.  Now we’ll be stuck with Cheeky K. for another 2 years, since we know she’ll win the general election.  I’m calling it, and that’ll be my last post for the night.

Done Reporting,

Ranting Republican
