Prediction for the Republican Super Tuesday II Primaries

Just like the Democrats (https://inkslwc.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/prediction-analysis-of-democratic-super-tuesday-ii-primaries/), the Republicans will have primaries in Ohio, Texas, Vermont, and Rhode Island.  Here’s a video explaining what I think will happen:

And here are the numbers (bold indicates a confidently predicted winner):

Vermont:

  1. McCain 71% 17 Delegates (Winner Take All [WTA])
  2. Huckabee 21%
  3. Paul 7%
  4. Other 1%

Rhode Island:

  1. McCain 74% 11 delegates (Proportional by district)
  2. Huckabee 19% 6 delegates
  3. Paul 6%
  4. Other 1%

Texas:

  1. McCain 54% 113 delegates (WTA by state and district)
  2. Huckabee 36% 24 delegates
  3. Paul 10%

Ohio:

  1. McCain 57% 67 delegates (WTA by state and district)
  2. Huckabee 32% 18 delegates
  3. Paul 7%
  4. Other 1%

I actually brought McCain’s percentage down a bit, since I think some of his supporters will do the Rush Limbaugh move, and go and vote for Hillary, but we’ll see.

So, McCain will take the nomination tomorrow, and I think Huckabee will drop out.  This is my final prediction, since all of the polls are in.  I’ll be doing one more update for the Dems.

Come back here tonight for the results!
