Wanna Do Something Fun? Let’s Take a Fake Bomb into an Airport!!!!

Boston’s Logan International Airport had a scare a couple days ago when an M.I.T. art engineering (sorry – my error from earlier) student, Star A. Simpson, came in to pick up a friend.  She had an innocent art engineering class (sorry – my error) project pinned to her backpack.  That piece of art was a circuit board with lights.  She had modelling clay in her other hand, and just walked away when asked about it by the customer service agent.

The agent called State troopers who responded in full force, arresting her at gunpoint.  Had she not have put her hands up immediately and dropped the clay, she probably would’ve been shot on the spot.

The MORON pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and possession of a hoax device!  COME ON!  You brought a CIRCUIT BOARD into an airport and just turned around when questioned about it.  It’s almost like this was just deliberate.

Her professors say she’s a great kid (but kinda weird – NO REALLY – YOU THINK – she took a bomb-look-alike into an airport!)

She needs to be fined quite a bit for this display of pure stupidity.

What a TWIT you are. ANYBODY with a CC of common sense and an IQ over 12 could see what a harmless toy the girl had on. BTW, she was not an art student, but is studying electrical engineering, which is a tough major. I think the cops involved are a bunch of ninny bed wetters and you are ready to bitch about anything that gets you excited, which with your little brain, and your avoidance of facts, happens easily and often. Have a nice day. Moron.

  2. Kurt Trainer Says:

    Ditto

  3. inkslwc Says:

Sorry – I don’t know why I said art major.

Second – if we started ignoring “obvious non-bombs” – that’d be the new method of blowing buildings up.

Third – it’s sad that you dittoed your own comment – do you have that bad of self-esteem?

I have to agree with ranting on this one. Who the moron here? This little jacka– went in to an airport knowing full well what she was doing and was damn lucky she wasn’t shot. These kinds of stunts are not funny and put all of us in more danger. If you people could think rationally for two seconds you would know that this will only cause these police officer to hesitate in the future when confronting a real threat, because contrary to what you may think, no police officer want to shoot an innocent person that is only guilty of stupidity. These police officers that put their life on the line every day for dumba—es like yourself. You owe then some respect.
I cannot follow your way of thinking. Do you have any common sense at all?
You are probably one of those people that think that guns kill people to. Aren’t you? When are you people going to except responsibility for your own actions, this is not police officers fault, this is not societies fault, she made a conscious decision to do this and now she should pay for her stupidity with jail time and the judge should make an example out of her. Then maybe just maybe people will think twice before doing something like this.
    We can only hope.

  5. Stephen Says:

    Freakin ditto! You mindless idiot

  6. inkslwc Says:

OK – no more dittoing your own comments please.

  7. Rachel M Says:

    I second Stephen and inkslwc.

Uhm…maybe you should get the REST of the story, eh?
    Go here, for starters: http://stars.mit.edu/me.html

Then, maybe you should go here:http://tv.boingboing.net/2008/09/19/star-simpson-once-mi.html

And, let us not forget that the Intelligencia of the Great City of Boston did this: http://www.nationalterroralert.com/updates/2007/01/31/cartoon-network-hoax-goes-awry/

You know, it is crap like this that ushers in a Police State, and the Useful Idiots (TM Karl Marx) of Academia and of the Press play along.
Yes, I consider Bloggers part of the Press, in all of its incarnations, both good and bad.

For the record, the “customer service agent” was not an “English as a first language” speaker, and was not coherently aware of certain facets of American Geek Culture. Yes, there are “geeks” that make this type of clothing, and it would not be a far stretch to guess that an MIT Engineering Student might be…I dunno, a GEEK?

For those of you who think that an actual terrorist would wear a VISIBLE bomb into the airport, well, I think you are just retarded.

  9. inkslwc Says:

First, where is the proof that the customer service gent didn’t understand Star?

Second, you still don’t bring a circuit board with wires and crap into an airport and have it visible and out in the open (I wouldn’t bring it at all).

Who said she was a terrorist? Lots of bank robbers and other criminals strap bombs to themselves and go wherever they’re going. And for the record, I think Boston was in the right inthe whole cartoon wired device scare.

  10. Derek Says:

    All I can say is…”wow”.
(he says, as he s l o w l y backs out of the cave, so as not to disturb the nest of retards any further…)

  11. inkslwc Says:

So I bring up a valid point and you counter with an ad hominem.
