Ron Paul’s Tea Party 07 Fundraiser Final Update – Over $6 Million Raised

Here’s the chart of yesterday’s fundraiser compared to his November 5th fundraiser:

It looks like he wound up on the low end of my prediction – right above $6 million.  The site apparently stopped updating around midnight due to an overload on the server, so I’m not seeing a 100% final picture.  Hopefully it’ll update by the morning.  I gotta say, congrats Ron Paul!  These fundraisers could put him over the edge and actually help him win a state.  Most people think he won’t, but if he concentrates on a state like Alaska or Montana, that’ll get him a good 30 delegates or so, which will get him a LOT of media coverage which could help him win more states.

Ron Paul’s Tea Party 07 Fundraiser Update Number 1

OK, it’s been nearly 2 hours now, and here’s the live chart:

At this point, I’m estimating that he’ll wind up around 6-8 million, but this is an early estimate comparing how he started today and the 5th and how he ended up the 5th. Although Ron Paul isn’t the candidate that I’m voting for (I’m a Romney guy), I still find these fundraisers fascinating. I’ve heard arguments like “You know, less people just give before and after, so he’s not raising any more money” but this isn’t true. Say that Joe Schmoe was going to give $75, but he hears about this – he’s more likely to give $100 to help out the cause, and Ron Paul just made $25 more. Multiply this by thousands of people, and that’s millions of dollars.

Another Ron Paul Fundraiser to Watch – Tea Party 07

OK, this stuff just fascinates me.  Ron Paul is having another fundraiser (here’s my post on his Remember the 5th of November one: http://inkslwc.wordpress.com/2007/11/05/ron-paul-revolution-remeber-the-5th-of-november/), and this one is called “Tea Party ’07″ (http://www.teaparty07.com/) – it will be tomorrow, December 16th, the day of the Boston Tea Party.  His goal, like the 5th of November fundraiser is to raise 100,000 pledges of $100, or $10,000,000.  Now, last time, he only achieved about half of this, but still that’s impressive.

Here are the up-to-the-minute subscribers for tomorrow’s event:

According to RonPaulGraphs.com, there are more subscribers for the Tea Party Event than there were for the November 5th event, so this will be an interesting one to watch.

I’ll be watching those 2 websites (http://ronpaulgraphs.com/ and http://www.teaparty07.com/) the next 2 days keeping you updated – this stuff fascinates me.  Ron Paul and his staff are pure fundraising geniuses.
