Prediction for the Indiana and North Carolina Primaries
Alright, I had a slight internet problem earlier, but I am back for my prediction for tomorrow’s primaries in Indiana and North Carolina (and I plan on live blogging the event tomorrow as well):
For the Democrats:
North Carolina:
- Obama 54% 63 delegates
- Clinton 45% 52 delegates
- Others 1% 0 delegates
Indiana:
- Clinton 53% 39 delegates
- Obama 46% 33 delegates
- Others 1% 0 delegates
Republicans
North Carolina:
- McCain 67% 69 delegates
- Huckabee 16% 0 delegates
- Paul 16% 0 delegates
- Keyes 1% 0 delegates
Indiana:
- McCain 66% 27 delegates
- Paul 16% 0 delegates
- Huckabee 12% 0 delegates
- Romney 6% 0 delegates
Considering that North Carolina is a southern state, I think Huckabee supporters will come out more, the usual Paul supporters of around 15% now, will come out. It’s a risky call, but I don’t think McCain will clear 70% in North Carolina or Indiana. I don’t think as many Romney supporters will come out in protest as Huckabee supporters.
I may update the Democratic prediction early tomorrow depending on how the last minute polls show things happening.
