A movement calling itself the Presidential Memorial Commisison of San Francisco is pushing to rename the Oceanside Wastewater Treatment Facility, the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

Here’s an exceprt from the website (www.presidentialmemorial.org):

An Enduring Legacy
As we near the end of George W Bush’s presidency, we think it is important to select a fitting monument to this president’s work. On matters ranging from foreign relations to fiscal and environmental stewardship, no other president in American history has accomplished so much in such a short time. To honor George W Bush for his eight years of honorable public service, the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco is sponsoring a ballot initiative this November in San Francisco. It reads…
“Should the City and County of San Francisco rename the Oceanside Wastewater Treatment Facility the George W. Bush Sewage Plant?”
We believe this is an appropriate honor for a truly unique president. If you think so too, join this grassroots movement to rename this important and iconic landmark in his honor.
So, this is interesting, and in my opinion, very unpatriotic. I don’t care if you want to criticize the President. I don’t care if you want to name a sewage treatment plant after him, but at the point that you change the MOTTO OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to “E PLURIBUS ANUS,” “OUT OF MANY ANUS,” I have a problem with that. And why is there no outrage over this? If I put up a picture of 2 gay guys smiling together with the phrase “out of many anus” I’m sure that I would have people screaming and hollering at me, and I’m only pointing out the simple fact that homosexuals can’t engage in proper sexual intercourse. Here, you have a bunch of liberals changing the national motto like nothing else.
And look at their “Bord of Directors”:
Chairman
Peaches Christ
Entertainer, Gender Illusionist
Chicken John
Showman, Mayoral Candidate
Tangie Rumors
Retired Sex Worker
Sister Porn Again
Businessman
Sister Selma Soul
Community Organizer
I hope that this ballot initiative fails. I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with it if they weren’t dishonoring the whole nation (I’d still think it’s ridiculous, but it is free speech), but the fact that they are using the nation’s motto and changing it to a mockery is ridiculous and un-American.

i see it as rather fitting considering the fact that the president in question has dishonored the nation and made a mockery of our constitution and legal system. now tell me, which is more ridiculous and un-american?

He hasn’t done anything illegal or impeachment-worthy, otherwise the Dems would’ve impeached him. Or are they corrupt and un-American too?

YES!!! DEATH TO THOSE WHO INSULT THE HOLY PROPHET ALLAH!!…er…Bush…

Wayne Pickering from the Presidential Memorial Commission here. I must correct you on your Latin.
E Pluribus Unum is translated as “From many, one”.
E Pluribus Anus one might read as “From many, a blankety blank”
The latter is intended as a statement on the election of George W Bush. The millions of people who voted for him thought they were getting a small government conservative, an Eisenhower republican. Instead we got trillions of dollars in wasted treasure, “you’re doing a heckuva job Brownie”, etc.
We have all parties represented in the Presidential Memorial Commission, including many libertarians.
Regards,
T Wayne Pickering, Chairman
Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco

Hey Inkslwc —- The fact that the Dems haven’t impeached him does NOT mean that he hasn’t doe one or more things that would support impeachment.

Name one misdemeanor or felony that he’s committed.

“E pluribus anus” does not mean “from the many, an anus.” Anus is itself a Latin word. It means “ring.”
Properly, this translates as “from the many, a ring.”
Obviously nonsense. Only the mind of a child ought to get tripped up by this. It’s obviously a simple one-liner, hardly anything of enough substance to worry about.

That’s not what they meant. It’s disrespectful to the nation, and like a lot of San Franciscoers, these people are scum.

A truly fitting memorial for a just deserved public servant and the defender of our constitution. Perhaps each state of the union should follow with similar honor. Long live GW and his legacy.

So why don’t we have similar memorials for President Harding or a golden gasoline sign for President Carter?

If you have a smaller, ineffective sewage plant nearby would you do us Brits a favour by naming it after his poodle Blair? We’d really aprreciate it.

George Bush has started an ill-timed and disastrous war under false pretenses by lying to the American people and to the Congress; he has run a budget surplus into a severe deficit; he has consistently and unconscionably favored the wealthy and corporations over the rights and needs of the population; he has destroyed trust and confidence in, and good will toward, the United States around the globe; he has ignored global warming, to the world’s detriment; he has wantonly broken our treaty obligations; he has condoned torture of prisoners; he has attempted to create a theocracy in the United States; he has appointed incompetent cronies to positions of vital national importance.
Now, would someone please give him a bj so we can impeach him?
July 27, 2008 at 12:33 AM
Typical liberal logic. I could care less about Clinton’s sex life. The fact is that he LIED under oath (perjury). He should’ve been impeached and found guilty just like Scooter Libby was. BOTH perjured and both should’ve been punished. The bj had nothing to do with it (other than that it was the subject of the lie).

E Pluribus Unum is translated as “From many, one”.
E Pluribus Anus one might read as “From many, a blankety blank”
The august Chairman of the entire Presidential Memorial Commission interpreted this for us to mean the hopes of millions produced a blank.
but then some critic pointed out:
“E pluribus anus” does not mean “from the many, an anus.” Anus is itself a Latin word. It means “ring.”
Properly, this translates as “from the many, a ring.”
Obviously, we can’t have that. So I put some words into my language processor, blew it out a wind tunnel, and here’s my proposal:
E. pluribus asshole
From the votes and hopes of the multitudes came the biggest asshole in the world.
Bush gleefully punched his fist into the air while grinning widely saying “goodbye from the world’s biggest polluter” in front of the President of France and the Prime Minister of the U.K. He’s beyond being an asshole: hopefully one day an outraged world population will put him in the dock, on trial for his life, charged with crimes against humanity.

Shouldn’t it be “Out of Many Ani”?

Speaking of George W. Bush:
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.
Many people know what Bush did.
And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.
Bush was absolute evil.
Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.
Bush is a psychological prisoner.
Bush has a lot to worry about.
Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.
In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memory so it never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.

Yay for the late comment, Troy! Tee hee hee. A great episode.
Also, you people on this site seem very angry. Have a milkshake. They’re really good.
Then hug someone you hate. Especially those “scum” of which you speak. Hate is useless.
